Getting tattooed in Barcelona from abroad

Barcelona is one of the cities where most people get tattooed as a memory of a trip. If you're coming from abroad and want a blackwork piece, it can be organised perfectly from a distance. Here's how it works.

1. The consultation, before you land

There's no need to wait until you're in the city to start. The consultation is done by video call or email: you tell me your idea, we talk placement, size and references, and we get the project on track. That way, when you arrive, we spend the time tattooing and not organising.

2. Booking and deposit from your country

Your session is set with a deposit you can pay from a distance. It reserves your slot in the calendar for your trip dates and comes off the total, just like for any client. Here's how the price and deposit work.

3. Pick the right day within the trip

Plan your session around travel and aftercare. Do not assume the skin will be healed before you leave: healing time varies and needs to fit with the rest of your trip.

Watch the tourist plan: until the skin is fully healed, there should be no beach, pool, sauna or direct sun on the tattoo. Barcelona is sun and sea, and the sun is what fades the black most. If your trip is a beach one, we plan it so it doesn't clash.

4. The flight home, covered

Plan your flight and aftercare around the piece and how your skin is healing. If complications develop or you have health concerns, consult a healthcare professional before travelling. You leave with instructions made for the journey: loose clothing over the area, keeping it out of the sun, and respecting the dressing times even in an airport. And I stay reachable during your healing: distance doesn't change the follow-up. All the detail is in the blackwork aftercare guide.

A keepsake you can hang, as well as wear

If you like, you can also leave with a signed print of your design as a memory of the trip — the same hand that tattoos also draws and paints. You'll see it in the artwork section.

A tattoo made in Barcelona, designed just for you, is a better souvenir than any fridge magnet.

Quick questions

I speak English, is that a problem?

None at all. I work often with people from abroad and the site has an English version. Communication is easy.

What if I want a large multi-session piece?

The calendar can be tightened for travellers while respecting healing, or the piece can be planned to finish on another trip. We look at it in how many sessions a large piece takes.

Can I book on short notice?

Depending on the calendar. The sooner you write with your dates, the easier it is to fit your session in.

Coming to Barcelona?

Tell me your dates and your idea, and we'll have your session ready before you pack.
